The hundreds building the Internet of AI.
We were alone and lonely. Now dozens of the entities building the Internet of AI are listed below, and hundreds more are missing from the list. Credit belongs to all of them, not just some. Nobody else is doing the two things they all need, and we keep bridging those two things to everyone.
IntrAnet of AIs vs. IntErnet of AIs
The world responded and began building the hundreds, even thousands, of components the Internet of AI needs. Some of them, on their own, only work for an intranet of AIs. The HyperCycle HNN completes the puzzle by bridging them all together into an internet of AIs.
Anthropic's MCP began a year after us, in November 2024. Google released A2A in spring 2025. Microsoft Agent Framework, IBM ACP and Cisco AGNTCY followed. In academia, MIT NANDA and more than 30 other universities began their work in 2024 and 2025.
All of them benefit from HNN peer-to-peer, AI-to-AI transactions with no third party.
How agents think, plan and coordinate
Break complex tasks down into executable workflows.
Persistent memory
State management, recall of past interactions and continuously updated knowledge.
Safe execution environments
Isolated places to run code, browse the web and use operating systems without putting the host at risk.
Benchmark, test, track
Monitor agent performance, trajectories and tool-calling accuracy.
End-to-end agent platforms
Communication standards
Every agent payment integration benefits from true peer to peer.
A great many agent-to-agent payment integrations are appearing. All of them would benefit from infrastructure that enables true peer to peer with no third-party dependency at all. That is why HNNs look set to be needed by everyone. Some already claim to be frictionless, yet they still depend on third parties.
Logically there is no such thing as zero cost when a third party is involved. The third party has a cost. It can be hidden behind "zero fees", but that is neither sustainable nor scalable. Still, the fact that so many make the claim tells us how large the demand for true peer to peer through HNNs will be.
Many can also claim fast finality, but nothing is faster than light, and light speed is what the HNN provides. Finality between one agent and another is immediate at both the sender's and the provider's end. Anyone who reads and understands the full HyperCycle whitepaper and protocol will also see that global finality for billions of agents worldwide cannot be faster than about 3 seconds, whatever anyone says.
Payment networks and toolkits for agents
Be additive. Connect.
Whatever framework, memory, sandbox or payment rail your agents use, an HNN gives them true peer-to-peer reach into the Internet of AI.
